As Lead Designer, I built a unified design system for myglo, the British American Tobacco consumer product platform. The existing component library had grown unwieldy — inconsistent, duplicated, and slowing down design-to-development handoffs across products. The process started with a thorough component audit, stripping back the library to only what was needed. I researched best practices from established design systems to inform the structure, token architecture, and documentation approach, then designed, tested, and iterated with the team. The result was a fully scalable, well-documented system — covering foundations, tokens, and components — that brought visual consistency across native and web, and gave the internal design team a shared language to build from.
